Review: Sunday Riley Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm

I have been so excited to review this amazing cleanser, that I have been trying for over a month now. I have fallen completely in love with Sunday Riley and their innovative and skin changing products. Sunday Riley is one of the fastest growing skincare brands due to their skin perfecting formulas and high performance products.

Firstly lets talk packaging. The box is beautiful, elegant and simple. I adore the gold letters with the blue background and it really confirms Sunday Riley as a stylish and established brand.

On opening this product you are greeted by a wonderful smell. If your a fan of Terry’s Chocolate orange this is certainly for you. The cleanser is an amazingly light blue colour, hence the name. The texture is a light sugary scrub, which is perfect for removing makeup easily and any impurities. However, I do find Blue Moon is not the most reliable in removing heavy eye make-up, so I would suggest a double cleanse, or to use an eye makeup remover first.

How I use:

I apply a small amount of product to finger tips and rub gently together until Blue Moon becomes an oily texture. I apply with downward movements round the nose area, round to the eyes, upward movement on the neck, chin to ears. (this point you can use heal of your hands) I then use upward movements on the forehead, 3-4 mins in total. Rinse off using a soft cleansing cloth, (I use the Emma Hardie Cloth) with upward and down movements, never round and round.

Blue Moon has truly left my skin feeling hydrated, cleansed and velvety soft. My skin craves for this cleanser every morning and night. After every use, I feel like I had a mini facial, which is making this one of my favourite beauty products.

I feel that Blue Moon has addressed and healed my sensitive, combination, and dehydrated skin while leaving a gorgeous glow. Furthermore, this cleanser doubles up as a wonderful hydrating mask. I simply leave Blue Moon on my skin for 20 minutes and rinse off. The result is beautifully smooth skin, ready for anything.

The cleanser is on the little pricey side at £46, however for 100ml this will keep you going for quite a while. I absolutely love this unique product, and Blue Moon has happily found my way into my skincare routine.

Will this be your next obsession?
