I am a huge fan of messy, wavy, beacheycurly hair. I have to admit I spend far too long in boots, scouting the aisles in the hair section, looking for new products, for anything that will make my curly, unruly hair look more manageable.
I have fine hair, however I have a lot of it, so it appears very thick at times and very frizzy, especially in the summer time with the humidity.
I need to tell you that when it comes to my hair, I can be very lazy. I either run my ghd through my hair, which can take a good hour, or I like to find some texturing spray and scrunch up and vamp.
I was first introduced to this product by my mum. I was a little apprehensive at first, how can a mousse be put into a little tub? However, I decided to rub a small amount into my palm and then I ran the product through my hair. I then used my Parlux hairdryer to dry my hair without using a brush. Redken Aerate instantly highlights your natural curls and immediately adds body to your hair. This is a must for anyone with fine hair; Aerate also lifts and adds volume to limp hair.
This spray has saved me on so many occasions. If your looking for the sexy, volumized, tousled look. This is the spray to go for. I have been through numerous bottles of these now and, I don’t feel think I could live without it. I simply spray this in the roots of my hair and work the product through my fingers. I also blow-dry the product into the hair to add even more volume and then set with hairspray. I find the rough texturizer is a great dupe for Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, which is more expensive, however, Oribe is a nice treat now and again.
I like to use this product after I have straightened my hair. I find that sometimes my hair looks a little flat, and needs a little ‘ ommph’ as this product has wonderfully demonstrated on the packaging! The powder is on the little sticky side, which is a little off putting, however I suppose this is needed to create that instant volume. I apply a small amount of the powder onto my fingertips and then work this into my roots, to create volume. I then set with some strong hairspray.
Firstly, the smell of this mist is just incredible. This product is one of a kind; I haven’t yet seen another thing like it. If your curls are looking a little flat or dull and need awakening throughout the day, you can touch up with this spray and keep those curls in tact. I even love using this on wet hair as I find it defines my curls and leaves them looking loose and not crunchy when letting my hair dry naturally.
I have tried quite a few hairsprays over the years and I have struggled to find one which not only lasts throughout the day, but holds my curls well. TRESemme, thankfully, has covered the latter. This hairspray dries really quickly and only a little amount is needed to keep your hair in place. This hairspray is great if your going out all day, and want your hairstyle to stay securely. The only downside is that, it is very drying on the hair. However, I highly recommend it.
