Take a Look Inside My Travel Makeup Bag

I am spending Christmas away from home, so I thought I would give you a cheeky look inside my makeup bag. I don’t know about you, but I find it so hard to pack for all the different makeup looks. Daily/ Christmas/ NYE, so many looks, one makeup bag.  If I could, I would pack my large acrylic box or perhaps the kitchen sink…

First thing first, I had to pack my beloved Nars Sheer Glow foundation , this never lets me down, and will get me right through the party season. Naturally, I had to follow with my Nars Creamy ConcealerThis concealer will hide my blemishes, redness and tired eyes.

My mum kindly gave me the Benefit Party Poppers Advent Calender ( out of stock) where I received the cutest mini versions of some of Benefit’s favourite products. I decided to pack my benefit Watts Up Highlighterbenefit rockateur blusher and the benefit bad girl lash from this mini collection

Watts Up has a gorgeous shimmer which produces a subtle glow and great for highlighting your cheekbones, this is one of my all time favourite highlighters and is so easy to apply.

Rockateur is a pretty rose gold shade and at first reminded me of the limited edition super popular Estée Lauder, Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelee blush. Rockateur is not an overwelming pink, more of a peachy pink with a soft texture.

Benefit bad girl lash is a classic mascara which guarantees to do your lashes proud. This mini mascara lengths, curls and adds volumes while giving you a dramatic look. Benefit provides a generous extra large brush, which picks up every lash.

MAC’s Mineralise Natural Skinfinish

Before I got my hands on Mac’s Skinfinish I was a lover of Rimmel’s Stay Matte Pressed Powder. After I while, I realised this powder left my skin looking too matte and the staying powder was not sufficient. Mac’s skinfinish, Is the perfect choice if you want to keep the dewy effect from your foundation, without going overboard on the matte. The texture is silky smooth and ever so fine.

Nars Laguna Bronzer

Wherever I go, my Laguna Bronzer will go. This is hands down my favourite bronzer. Sweep this where the sun naturally hits you, and you will have a beautiful healthy glow.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette

I absolutely love Hourglass cosmetics and this palette is just beautiful. Three gorgeous highly pigmented lighting powders, illuminate and add definition to your face. You can just sweep your brush across all three blushes or use them individually. This palette is so useful when travelling, as it not bulky and can be used for so many looks, you can even use the blusher for an eye shadow.

Collection Eyes Uncovered Palettes Nude Bronze

I saw this in superdrug a little while back and decided to pick this up. I always been a fan of the collection range,  as they are a great buy from the drug store. On testing the palette, it reminded me of the the Urban Decay Naked Palette. Nude bronze is super soft and blends easily over your eyes. This palette is so wearable making it a great choice during the day taking your right through to the night.

Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush

When it comes to those eyebrows, I find this the hardest part of my makeup. Thankfully, this cute little eyebrow pencil has helped me out. Not only is the pencil little (which is great for travelling) Soap & Glory have produced a great product which fills in my eyebrows quite nicely. The waxy formula is smooth and long-lasting and comes with a small brush to run through your brows which creates a natural effect.

L’Oreal Paris Perfection Brow Artist Plumper

After working on your eyebrows I lightly run the L’Oreal Paris Perfection Brow brush through my brows, you only need a little of the product. I love this brow wand, it always keeps my eyebrows in place, due to the special fibres in the formula. Thank you L’Oreal Paris.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper

This is my go to eyeliner at the moment. I have always struggled to get the perfect feline flick, however the formula is so smooth, and makes application easy which is great for mastering the perfecting winged look.

Charlotte Tilbury Rock ‘n’ Kohl in Bedroom Black

I can’t go anywhere without my Rock ‘n’ Kohl. I have never experienced an eyeliner like this. Before Rock ‘n’ Kohl, I used to have eyeliner running down my eyes, now my eyeliner stays put while giving off a sexy smoky eye.

Mac Velvet Teddy

Where I go, my Velvet Teddy will go. This is a cult mac favourite and I have been through around 5 of these luscious lipsticks. The colour is a light brown/ red and is perfect when lined and filled with Mac Spice. Velvet Teddy happily goes with every look,  to add definition apply some gloss.

Mac Russian Red

Russian Red is your classic red, and is a must in every makeup bag. Every time I wear this lipstick I feel glamorous and ready for every occasion. The texture is not drying, even though it is matt and lasts all day when primed with Prep + Prime Lip.
